Why Rishikesh

One of the world's holiest and spiritual cities, and the birthplace of yoga itself. It is said that one does not choose Rishikesh, but Rishikesh chooses you. The city is a peaceful center of traditional Hindu temples, a sacred encounter with the Mother Ganga River, and situated right in the foothills of the Himalayas. Come experience this incredible positive energy and healing atmosphere for yourself.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to New Delhi, local flight to Rishikesh, evening welcome ceremony
Day 2: Full day of yoga, pranayama, theory and meditation
Day 3: Morning hike to waterfall, yoga at waterfall
Day 4: Sunrise at Kunjapuri Temple, evening yoga
Day 5: Morning yoga and pranayama, evening Ganga Aarti ceremony (fire offering)
Day 6: Morning yoga and pranayama, sunset at the Beatles Ashram
Day 7: Flight to New Delhi, ground transportation to Agra, evening yoga
Day 8: Sunrise at Taj Mahal

Experience Tradition

Filled with ancient Hindu temples, this area is rich with ancient traditions, such as the Ganga Aarti Ceremony. During this ritual, people come together at the banks of the Ganga river to give an offering of small candles and flowers that are sent floating down the river, and enjoy the songs and chanting praising Mother Ganga.
